“Buddhism in New York: Challenges and Opportunities”

As we celebrate a New Year together, let us discuss the issues that Buddhist in the New York area face. The forum will give us a great opportunity to meet various Buddhist leaders, learn from each other, and build friendship and cooperation among the Buddhist leaders (The forum is not open to public.)

We will discuss the issues related to Buddhist practices, and related to inter-religious communities. We will discuss challenges of being Buddhists in a non-Buddhist culture, what gifts that Buddhists can bring to American society, making Buddhist holidays in NYC, internal issues such as Myanmar conflict which affects Buddhists in New York.

We encourage Buddhist centers to send two or three leaders to join the Buddhist Forum.
