Because of the recent coronavirus outbreak, many of us need to stay home. We would like to encourage all Buddhist community members to use this time to fill out the census. It is of critical importance for Buddhists to take part in the census to increase our visibility and make our voices heard as an important part of New York City.

The Buddhist Council of New York, in partnership with New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS), supports the US 2020 Census. We encourage all Buddhist communities in NYC to submit their census forms by mail, phone or online (www.my2020census.gov) The Asian community has been historically undercounted. By participating in the 2020 Census, we can increase our voices, visibility, and influence in the US and New York City. This is beneficial for all of us, both directly and indirectly. Thank you for your understanding and support. … Please be safe and take good care of yourself, dealing with current coronavirus conditions. ***
